Our newborn baby bouncer range comes with multi-function sets including 3-in-1 options that function as a highchair, a sturdy baby chair, as well as a bouncer, giving you plenty of function and mileage out of your purchase. For a bit of added entertainment, you can also find a baby bouncer seat with a built-in mobile with super-soft, cuddly toys for your little one to gaze at and reach for as they bounce away.

Can a baby sleep in a bouncer?

Baby bouncers are fantastic fun for little ones. They’re a wonderful place to play or to sit in comfort and watch the world go by. Bouncing and vibrating modes are soothing too and can even help out with trapped wind.

However, although bouncers are safe chairs for babies – and even for newborns with some models – they aren’t made for sleeping in. To make sure sleep stays safe, your little one should lie on their back on a flat surface, not on an incline. This should also be in an approved baby bed, like a Moses basket, a cot bed or a bedside crib.

When can my baby go in a bouncer?

Whereas highchairs are usually intended for babies who can sit upright unaided, the vast majority of baby bouncers are suitable for young babies. This includes babies who can’t yet sit upright by themselves. Many bouncers are even suitable for newborns.

Baby bouncers offer plenty of support and have a range of safety features like harnesses. They also often offer multiple reclining positions, making them suitable for babies who can’t yet sit upright. To help you out, each model of baby bouncer should state clearly what age and/or weight they’re suitable for. When you’re considering a baby bouncer, make sure it’s appropriate for your little one.

How long can a baby sleep in a bouncer?

Baby bouncers aren’t approved safe places for your little one to sleep. When it comes to sleeping and napping, your baby needs to lie flat in a dedicated baby bed, like a Moses basket, a cot bed or a bedside crib. As tempting as it might be to leave them to slumber in peace, if your baby does fall asleep in a bouncer, move them to their bed to make sure they sleep safely.
