One year ago, we were shivering in the grip of the Beast from the East, this year we’ve enjoyed (if felt a little creeped out by) the warmest days of any February on record.
But something never changes, people want to know who has the most influence in this blog-eats-blog game of online parenting.
You’ve come to the right place – our updated 2019 list of the 50 most influential UK parenting blogs on Twitter.
Once again, we looked at the Tots 100 and a few other accounts that were recommended to us from last time around. You can see the 2018 results here.
The revised Top 50
So, here we go again with another countdown. There have been a lot of changes, we have a brand-new number one and several new entries. It’s probably best if you read this aloud to yourself in a Bruno Brookes, Reggie Yates, Mark Goodier or Fluff Freeman voice, depending on how old you are.

The science bit
Since Klout is no longer on the scene, we have settled on Kred as our influence measurer, which is especially useful as it judges influence mostly in terms of tweets. It also scores out of 1000 rather than 100, which means we have a lot fewer ties in our Top 50 compared to last year (which makes it a bit more exciting).
Kred calculates influence in two ways – looking at Influence, judging what other users do after you have tweeted, and Outreach, which demonstrates the blogger’s generosity, including often they retweet, reply to other Twitter accounts and so on. This is particularly of interest to PR firms as they know how likely the blogger is likely to promote their goods and services.
