How The Contract Is Formed Between Online4baby.com and You.

Please note the display of any product on our website is in no way an offer by us to sell to you. It is your response that is the offer. Once an order has been placed you will receive an order acknowledgement with the details of your order. This does not mean your order has been accepted. Your order constitutes an offer to us to buy a product. All orders are subject to acceptance by us.

Order acceptance and completion of the contract between you and us will occur upon the despatch (to you) of the products ordered unless we have been unable to accept your order or you have cancelled your order.

Non-acceptance of an order may occur for the following reasons:-

Contract Cancellation – Your right to cancel an order for goods starts the moment you place your order and ends 14 days from the day you receive your goods. If your order has been processed then return costs are your responsibility. (Please see the returns section of these terms & conditions below)

Delivery

At Online4baby we aim to deliver your order in quickest possible timeframe from the point your order has been accepted. The weight and the volumetric size of the item dictates which Courier service is used to ship your order. Please see the table and the Courier tabs below for Courier information.

DPD Delivery

Online4baby.com offers a Free Express Next Working ( or 2 Working Working day if out of bounds areas) Day Delivery Service to most of the UK on all orders over £49.99* (£5.95 for orders under £49.99).  There are exceptions for out of bounds areas, please see the table below. . The courier we use is 'DPD' for all standard deliveries (See other delivery tab for Nursery Furniture deliveries i.e Room sets, Cot beds, Junior beds that include mattresses which are handled by our freight courier Parcel Force). Our contracted hours for delivery with DPD are between 8am and 6pm. However, DPD offers a service called "Predict".  Providing you supply us with a current mobile number and/or email address gives a unique 1 hour delivery window notification via SMS and/or Email on the morning of your delivery which can be rescheduled by you to a more convenient delivery date.

We give the buyer the assurances they need in order for them to receive their delivery in a clear timeframe once cleared funds have been received. Checking your delivery day is simple:-

Online4baby cannot be held responsible for any inconveniences caused in the unlikely event of a delayed delivery. In these instances our courier will deliver your parcel(s) the next available working day.

Delivery will be made to the address specified in your order. Should you wish to change the delivery address once your order has been processed, a charge of £6 per parcel will apply and your delivery date may be subject to a short delay.

If you provide us with any incorrect delivery details which results in the order being delivered to an incorrect address, Online4baby.com cannot be held responsible for any loss you may incur as a result.

If there is nobody in at the delivery address to sign for the parcel(s), the driver will post a card through your door to let you know that a delivery attempt was made and take the parcel(s) back to the local depot for a re-attempt at the delivery address the next working day.  You can re-arrange delivery direct with our courier from the details left on the calling card.   Should no contact be made with us or the courier direct within 3 days from 1st delivery attempt and the goods are returned back to Online4baby, a return charge of £16 for the first box and £6 for each additional cost will be incurred– see FAQ “Why has my item been returned to you?”

 

**Parcels requested by the customer to be left in a safe place without a signature will not be covered by the couriers insurance, therefore it is at the customers own risk**

Royal Mail Tracked Delivery

Online4baby.com offers the Royal Mail Tracked 48 Delivery Service free of charge on all small packages (weighing less than 1kg) to most of the UK on all orders over £49.99*(£2.95 for orders under £49.99). There are exceptions for out of bounds areas, please see the table below.  The courier we use is 'Royal Mail' for all small packages that weigh less than 1kg. (See other delivery tabs DPD and Parcel Force for items heavier than 1kg and Freight goods like Nursery Furniture deliveries i.e Room sets, Cot beds, Junior beds that include mattresses which are handled by our freight courier Parcel Force). Our contract with Royal Mail is for your goods to be delivered by your local Postman/Postwoman within 2 to 3 working days after your order is placed and cleared funds have been received. The Royal Mail deliver Monday to Saturday only. You will Receive a Tracking link in your dispatch email and then a notification from the Royal Mail the morning of delivery.

If you provide us with any incorrect delivery details which results in the order being delivered to an incorrect address, Online4baby.com cannot be held responsible for any loss you may incur as a result.

If there is nobody in at the delivery address to accept the parcel(s), your local Postman/Postwoman will automatically attempt to leave with a neighbour or in a safe place and leave a calling card at the property. If it is not possible to leave the parcel(s) with a neighbour or if they think there is not a safe place to leave it, the Postman/Postwoman will Card the address and take the parcel(s) back to the local depot where you will have 15 days to collect it. Usually the local Depots are open from 8am to 8pm.

If your item is not collected from the Royal Mail within the 15 days, the package will be returned back to Online4baby, and return charges will apply as below. You can also visit the FAQ “Why has my item been returned to you?”

If your item has been Returned to Sender (RTS), the following charges will apply:

Nursery Furniture Delivery -Parcel Force

PLEASE NOTE DUE TO COVID -19 Parcel Force deliveries are now incurring delays within the network of upto 1 week .

Freight Goods are delivered between 8am and 5:30pm (a full working day) by Parcel Force express24large service. An automated 1 hour delivery slot is available on the morning of the delivery.

Nursery Furniture deliveries such as Room sets, Wardrobes, Dressers, Cot beds with Mattresses, Junior/Toddler beds with Mattresses and Nursery Drawers are classed as Freight due to their volumetric size(height above 1.3metres) and do require special vehicles and handling. The courier we use is Parcel Force who provide a Free Express Next Working Day Delivery Service to most of the UK(see exceptions below)on all orders over £49.99*(£5.95 on orders under £49.99). There are exceptions for out of bounds areas, please see the table below for chargeable areas. The contracted hours for deliveries of Freight Goods are between 8am and 5:30pm (a full working day).

It is important to make sure someone is available at the delivery address all day (8am and 5.30pm (a full working day) to sign for the parcel(s). Parcel Force do provide a 1 hour delivery slot however this can not always be adhered to at busy periods. A Contact telephone number must be provided to Online4baby when placing an order.

Please note**The Free Delivery on Freight Goods will only be attempted once with our dedicated courier service Parcel Force. Any missed deliveries will incur a second attempt redelivery charges of £5 per parcel.

Our Courier service Parcel Force will NOT leave safe even under instruction. This is not an option that is available under any circumstances. Our courier operates a “ No Leave Safe” account. Please Note: If you do authorise this direct with our courier Parcel Force any parcels that are left safe without a signature are left at your own risk and the transit insurance will be void.

Nursery Furniture Delivery -Tutti Bambini Products

When ordering a product from the Tutti Bambini Product range, please refer to the Direct Dispatch information (link) on the product listing to fully understand your delivery schedule. Cot beds are generally a three day service but Room sets are generally 2 - 4 week delivery depending on overall weight. 

DX Freight Courier Service- (Cot beds, Cots , Gliders and Glider Chairs) --- Dispatched Direct from the Manufacturer

Your item will be marked DX 3 Working Day Delivery as a delivery type. This is a delivery service only. If you pay for your item before 12 noon you will receive your order in 3 working days. DX will send you an email and text message update the evening of dispatch from Tutti Bambini advising you that you will receive your delivery on the 3rd working day. The morning of your delivery the tracking link will update with the status ‘out for delivery’. The delivery is an all day service between 8am – 6pm.

Home & Retail Freight Courier Service (Room sets that do not include assembly)

Your item will be marked Home and Retail 2 Week Delivery as a delivery type. This is a delivery service only. If you pay for your item before 12 noon you will receive your order within 2 weeks. In these situations the Tutti Bambini logistics team will call you direct within 5 days of placing your order to advise you of your delivery slot.

Tutti Bambini Delivery & Assembly Team(Room sets that include assembly)

Your item will be marked TB Delivery & Assembly Team 2 – 6 week delivery service as a delivery type. This is a delivery service with assembly included. If you pay for your item before 12 noon you will receive your order between 2-4 weeks. In these situations the Tutti Bambini logistics team will call you direct within 3 working days to advise their delivery and assembly slot.

Damaged In Transit

Before you refuse the delivery, we ask that you check inside the box to establish if the item itself has been damaged. (The packaging is simply used to protect the item whilst in transit.) If you find the contents to be spoilt, please sign for the goods as damaged and contact us by email at customerservices@online4baby.com (Please include your order number in the email). We aim to respond to your enquiry in the quickest possible timeframe. We appreciate that all items that are delivered are not necessarily purchased for immediate use. So to avoid disappointment on opening we would ask that all your parcels are checked thoroughly on arrival and then in the unlikely event that you are not completely satisfied with the condition of how your order has arrived we ask you to contact us with images of any damage to the item and the packaging within 24hrs of receipt so that any problems can be rectified immediately, this is the timeframe that enables us to claim from the couriers insurance. Outside of this timeframe we are unable to claim from the couriers insurance.

If you receive a delivery which has been damaged in transit, we are able to replace the product 'like for like' free of charge in the quickest possible timeframe. For wooden items damaged in transit we prefer to replace the damaged parts 'like for like' only and not the complete carton.  This prevents the likelihood of the whole carton getting damaged as a whole carton for the second time. Replacement parts are packed individually and securely for transit. However if a replacement product is not your preference you are entitled to a refund.



The packaging/box around the product is simply there to protect the item whilst in transit. Due to the weight of some parcels and the distance travelled through many courier depot's we cannot guarantee that the external packaging will not be marked on arrival and therefore if presentation is important i.e ordering for a gift this is at your own risk unless you have requested extra packaging prior to your order being dispatched.

**Re-delivery charges may apply if the consignment is refused for reasons other than the goods not conforming with your consumer rights eg. the goods are faulty or not as described **

Faulty Goods

If the product you have purchase is faulty, we may offer a repair, exchange or refund as appropriate in accordance with the Consumer Right Act 2015.  You will be required to provide proof of purchase such as your receipt, order confirmation email or sales invoice.  These rights are non-transferable.



 

Return of Unwanted Goods

The right to cancel is a no fault cancellation. If the goods are faulty then the standard statutory rights apply. All our products sold through Online4baby.com or over the telephone are covered by the 14 day right to cancel policy. To enable us to authorise a return you must notify us within 14 days from the day you receive your goods by contacting our customer services team  by email to returns@online4baby.com, fax or letter stating your order number. Any parcel returned to us without authorisation will be refused. It is the customer's responsibility for the return shipping cost and to take reasonable care and ensure the items returned are received by Online4baby.com in the original state, unused and undamaged. Do not dispose of any of the original packaging if you are wanting to return your goods. We cannot accept a return on any personal hygiene items such as mattresses, breast pumps, thermometers, sterilisers, bottle warmers where the original packaging has been opened/unsealed or used. We recommend all returns are arranged through Online4baby.com’s preferred courier service (DPD), which provides a reliable and fully insured service. Collection charges are shown in the table below. Alternatively if you prefer to arrange your own courier, items must be returned by a registered Courier or the Royal Mail for insurance purposes.

Once the item has been processed and authorised, your refund includes the full price of the goods; any deposit/part payments and the cost of the original standard delivery service (premium delivery services will not be refunded). The refund will be put back into the original payment method that was used. This refund will be completed within 14 days of receipt of the goods.

We reserve the right to make a deduction from the amount of any refund for loss in value of the Products returned where the Products show signs of unreasonable use or damage; for these purposes, unreasonable use includes handling the Products beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the Products, in particular, if it goes beyond the sort of handling that might reasonably be allowed in a shop, in some cases this may include assembling the goods. Nursery furniture which has been assembled can not be returned.

Where you are in possession of the Products (or they have been dispatched to you), we may withhold any refund until we have received the Products or you have supplied proof of return for the Products.



**Please Note** Online orders can not be returned to our Oldham Showroom. Online orders must be booked in with Customers service within 14 days from the day after receipt. Any parcel returned to us without authorisation will be refused.

Collections

Please see below in the table collection charges and weights. Collections made by our courier DPD are attempted between the hours of 8am and 6pm. All packages must be made available and boxed securely. Collections which are missed/or items that are not ready will have to be rebooked and charged at £10.

**Any complimentary item / gift originally supplied or provided at a later date with the item you are returning must be returned along with the original item.  We cannot refund or exchange if they are not returned together.**

All original out of area surcharges are additional to standard return costs.

We can offer a discounted returns charge of £10 per box (excluding freight goods i.e Nursery Furniture and bulk items) should you wish to return for an exchange to an alternative product that is either the same price or higher.

**Small pram accessories (i.e footmuffs, bags, raincovers & parasols) can be returned by Royal Mail but only once return authorisation has been obtained.**

Tutti bambini Return & Cancellation Charges

All assembled dimensions are advised on each individual product listing. Please check before ordering that the furniture will fit in your desired location. Do not assemble your Tutti Bambini products if you are unsure on the colour/style. If you wish to return any items which have been assembled a 50% charge of the original purchase price plus the collection charges stated below will be deducted from your refund.

Should you wish to cancel your delivered order, the following collection charges will apply once your order has been dispatched: -

E-Gift / Voucher

E-Gifts / vouchers can only be used online at www.online4baby.com subject to these general terms & conditions. E-Gifts / vouchers are not redeemable through any other method and your use of an E-Gift indicates your agreement to be bound by these terms & conditions. An E-Gift / voucher is redeemed by entering its code in the appropriate box at the checkout stage.

If your order value is greater than the E-Gift / voucher amount, you can pay the outstanding balance using any of our payment options. If your basket amount is lower than the voucher value, we will send you an email with your voucher balance and a new redemption code.

Redeemed E-Gift vouchers will contribute to the vip discount of the redeemers account and not the purchaser of the E-Gift's account. 

E-Gifts / vouchers are valid for 12 months from the purchase date.

Price Match Terms and Conditions

You are eligible for a price-match if your request meets the following conditions:

  1. To qualify, we must be satisfied that (a) both products are identical (including colour and specification) and (b) the product you have found is actually available to purchase on the same website.

The Online4Baby price match applies only to UK internet retailers that have the identical product and/or goods in stock immediately available (not on request) and the product and/or goods is priced accurately.   3. Prices are compared on product price and when calculating the competitor's total price, any comparisons will include the cost of the product plus any delivery charges applicable.
